The Carbon dioxide removal - enabling negative emissions session will aim to highlight the role and importance of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in achieving global emission targets, as well as to help deployment of CCUS. Key questions that will be addressed are; What is the potential, and how can use of existing CDR methods be scaled? What is the differences and similarities between CDR and CCUS? Are there any risks that CDR methods can have unintended effects on biogeochemical cycles and the climate? Key topics in the session include DAC and BECCUS.
