Petoro received the award in the category for stands larger than 50 sq. m.

The jury highlights how the exhibit artfully depicted the challenges in the offshore industry through a creative parallel to the folk tale of Askeladden's journey to Soria Moria. The focal point of the stand was an interpretation of Th. Kittelsen's famous painting, recreated using countless Rubik's cubes. This unique metaphor emphasised Petoro’s approach to the green transition. The stand, characterised by its use of natural materials and a warm colour palette, was both subtle and elegant. The jury praised the crew for effectively conveying their message, making the stand a highlight of the exhibition.

DeepOcean, on the other hand, won in the category for stands smaller than 50 sq. m.

The jury liked how their exhibit was designed to immerse visitors in the feeling of being deep underwater. And how the stand's sophisticated and subtle design, featuring green-blue fringes, provided a perfect backdrop to showcase their high-tech solutions for monitoring underwater installations. The jury was particularly impressed by the engaged and knowledgeable staff, who communicated the benefits of DeepOcean’s technological solutions through conversations and interactive games.

The ONS 2024 Best Stand Awards jury, led by Leif Harald Halvorsen of the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, evaluated the stands based on creativity, design, the ability to attract and engage visitors, and how well the staff interacted with attendees. Both Petoro and DeepOcean excelled in these areas, setting the bar high for future exhibitors.

These awards underscore the importance of not just what is presented, but how it is presented, highlighting the role of innovation, storytelling, and visitor engagement in making a lasting impact.
