Energy Insight

Roundtables

In addition to our biennial flagship conference and event in Stavanger, Norway, ONS organises events in cooperation with members of our extraordinary network of energy experts around the world. Governmental representatives, politicians, global thinkers and industry leaders take part in the events.

Collaboration with strategic partners

Together with strategic partners such as Munich Security Conference we facilitate roundtable discussions or leadership circles on energy markets, energy security challenges and the current geopolitics of energy.

Participation is by invitation only. All discussions are held under the Chatham House rule.

Energy Security Roundtable at MSC 2024

The ONS Foundation attended the high-level Munich Security Conference in February 2024. We are partnering with MSC on roundtables about energy security. Together we raise essential questions concerning energy security and climate security with some of the most important decision makers worldwide.

The 2024 roundtable about energy security on geopolitical ripple effects of the transition away from fossil fuels was moderated by Jason Bordoff of Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University and Meghan O'Sullivan of Harvard University.

Geopolitical tension and rising uncertainty challenge energy security and energy supply worldwide, putting strain on the energy transition. Energy is a global security concern and therefore the ONS Foundation sees great value in being part of the Munich Security Conference discussions.
