An arena for the young, by the young

ONS is an energy meeting place, but that does not mean you have to study or work in energy to come. We encourage everyone to take part in the energy discussion, as energy is important to us all in our everyday lives. At ONS Young we challenge and explain energy to make the new generation of professionals prepared and ready to become leaders and take on future challenges.

Our programme for ONS 2024 is set to challenge the status quo, develop your career and network, as well as learn more about what issues need solutions within the fields of climate change, society, industry, politics and geopolitics. We let the young voices be heard and see the opportunities ahead!

University Day speakers

On August 26, ONS Young University Day offers a special program for students and apprentices, followed by a social event in downtown Stavanger in the evening. The day features multiple high-level speakers across three stages, including:

• Anders Opedal, CEO of Equinor
• Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council
• Karoline Andaur, CEO of WWF Norway
• Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, Minister of Climate and Environment
• Anita Krohn Traaseth, Group CEO of DSD
• Oda Bjerkan, Interim Executive Director of UN Global Compact
• Kristin Ven Bruusgaard, Director of the Norwegian Intelligence School

The first session starts at 10.00 – don’t be late!

Nora Andersen

ONS Young is for everyone, and you will definitely find a session that you can relate to! Even though you are not studying or working with anything directly related to energy, said Nora Andersen, Project Manager, ONS Young.

Three conference stages and Tech Tours

The topics for the sessions during University Day vary from oil and gas in the energy mix, international collaboration, next generation, net zero, leadership, energy security, financing the future, and technology. In short - something for everyone! We have 3 stages that will be packed with exciting sessions throughout the whole day.

In addition to these exciting sessions, you can also join our Tech Tours. This is where our ONS Young Partner companies will bring you on a guided tour throughout the exhibition. You will meet exciting companies, learn more about their projects, how they operate, and talk to energy experts along the way. The Tech Tours is a first come, first serve activity as there are limited spots available.
