The ONS Technical Committee: Driving Collaboration and Innovation
A new and inspired Technical Committee is ready to create the programme that enables the energy transition and a reduce emissions.
How do we make sure ONS stays the cutting-edge platform for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange? How do we reduce emissions while transitioning and evolving?
That is just a few of the challenges the ONS Technical Committee take on while curating and creating the programme for ONS 2024 Technical Sessions.
Quality, rather than quantity
“I would like to contribute to creating an inspiring and varied program of cutting-edge technical topics that will speak to a broad audience, with focus on quality rather than quantity. The 50-year anniversary makes this ONS even more special,” says Claire Richardson, Technical Director at Shell in Norway.
André Backen, CEO of Oliasoft, appreciates ONS as a mix of trade show, exhibitions, and panel discussions. He emphasizes the importance of public education about energy’s role in society and the value of panel discussions that address industry challenges. For Backen, ONS is an important meeting place for customers and a platform to showcase technology.
«I hope the industry and the public have found common ground on how to solve the trilemma between access to reliant, affordable, and clean energy. Only then can we move full speed ahead”, says Backen.
The Technical Committee is now in the process of designing challenges which will be revealed in the beginning of November, the application portal open mid-November. The committee will then start the work of selecting speakers and curating the overall technical programme.
