Engaging youth to create an innovative stand
In the quest to build an impressive stand for ONS 2024, NOFO, the Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies, took an innovative approach by collaborating with students from Vågen High School in Sandnes, Norway.
Veronica Halvorsen, Communication Manager at NOFO, shares:
"Engaging with the younger generation was a no-brainer. It provided NOFO with insights into youth perspectives, and the students got to contribute in a meaningful way to our project."
The collaborative process involved a presentation of NOFO's identity and values to the students, who responded with fantastic sketches. The subsequent construction of mini stands showcased impressive creativity and a deep understanding of NOFO's goals.
Impressed
Reflecting on the collaboration, Veronica commends the students, saying, "I'm impressed by their hard work, understanding of our needs, and creativity. Choosing the final concept from such diverse contributions is a challenge in itself."
Gunn Elin Birkenes, a teacher at Vågen VGS, echoes the positive sentiment, stating:
"The students found Veronica's genuine interest and feedback reassuring, making the task of presenting to a real client less intimidating. It's been a joy to collaborate with NOFO."
As NOFO approaches the final decision on the stand concept, the anticipation grows for the unique outcome of this collaborative venture. The partnership not only showcases NOFO's commitment to innovation but also emphasizes the value of collaboration with the youth in shaping a dynamic future for the energy industry.
